CHIO Aachen – World Equestrian Festival & CHIO 5*
The CHIO Aachen (Official International Horse Show) is a world-renowned equestrian event held annually in Aachen, Germany. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious horse shows in the world, with a history dating back to 1898.
Often called the “Wimbledon of Equestrian Sports,” CHIO Aachen attracts the top riders and horses from across the globe in multiple disciplines, including show jumping, dressage, eventing, vaulting, and driving. Competitions take place in the famous Dressage Stadium of the Soers, as well as in specially designed arenas for each discipline.
CHIO Aachen hosts one of the stages of the Rolex Grand Slam, one of the most prestigious tournaments in equestrian sports, gathering the world’s best riders. The event is also known for its festive atmosphere and spectacular setting, drawing around 350,000 spectators annually. Beyond the competitions, visitors can enjoy exhibitions, equestrian demonstrations, concerts, and food stands.
