NEO BOOT — A New Way of Thinking About Riding Boots

With the Teknit Boot, Horse Pilot explored a new approach to riding boots: combining the comfort of a sneaker with the support and precision needed while riding.

The Neo Boot builds on this concept. It retains the core elements that guided this design—comfort underfoot, stability in the stirrup, and an adaptive mesh upper—while improving ease of donning, support, and durability in the areas subject to the most stress.

Each element serves a specific purpose: to make the boot easier to use in everyday life, to support the rider’s movements, and to provide a boot tailored to the demands of equestrian sports.

The comfort of a sneaker, the support of a boot

Comfort starts underfoot. The EVA midsole provides cushioning inspired by athletic shoes, for a comfortable feel whether you’re on horseback or on foot.

But cushioning alone isn’t enough to ensure the precision needed in the stirrup. A stability arch built into the sole stiffens the support area and helps redistribute forces toward the back of the foot.

Comfortable cushioning, stable support, and a smoother transition between movement and contact with the stirrup.

SKETCHING NEO BOOTS HORSE PILOT

Just one measurement: shoe size

The stretchy 3D-knit upper adapts to different leg shapes. You no longer need to choose an upper height, calf circumference, or ankle width—shoe size is all you need.

To take it a step further, the internal construction has been redesigned to maximize the knit’s elasticity. The upper adapts more easily to changes in volume and makes it easier to slide the foot and ankle into the boot.

This design simplifies the boot selection process while maintaining a structure that accommodates the rider’s movements.

Adjustable support, designed for movement

Support should not come at the expense of freedom of movement.

Positioned at the top of the shaft, the rotary tightening system allows you to adjust the support once the boot is on. It helps stabilize the shaft during use, while the stretchy construction accommodates the leg’s movements.

The ankle area has been specifically engineered to promote natural flexion and minimize bulk.

A boot designed for all-day wear

Whether you’re grooming your horse, walking around the stable, riding, or going about your day—the Neo Boot is designed to support the rider beyond the time spent in the saddle.

Its design combines cushioning, flexibility, and support to meet the various demands of a day at the stable.

Like any technical footwear, it requires regular care and proper drying to ensure the long-term durability of its materials and performance.

What's New with the Neo Boot

  • An optimized 3D Knit upper that better preserves the elasticity of the knit fabric.
  • Easier on/off, thanks to a redesigned interior construction around the foot and ankle.
  • A rotary lacing system for precise adjustment of support at the top of the upper.
  • Reinforced areas designed to better withstand friction and abrasion.
  • A technical outsole that combines cushioning, stability, and geometry optimized for foot placement in the stirrup.

From idea to ride

The Neo Boot was born from observing the rider’s movement.

From the choice of materials to the design of the sole, every decision addresses specific needs: providing comfort underfoot, stabilizing the foot in the stirrup, maintaining ankle mobility, and adjusting support around the leg.

The result: a riding boot that borrows from athletic shoes in its approach to comfort and freedom of movement, while meeting the specific demands of equestrian sports.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND DESIGN

A design optimized for transport and storage

The Neo Boot was designed to minimize the logistical challenges associated with the bulk of traditional riding boots.

Its flexible and compact construction allows it to be folded for transport in a shoe box. This reduces the space it takes up during transport and storage compared to a traditional boot with a rigid shaft.

An adaptive design that simplifies product offerings

Thanks to its expandable shaft and adjustable lacing system, the Neo Boot is available in a single size for each foot size, without separate variations in shaft height, calf width, or ankle width.

This approach replaces approximately 14 size combinations typically required with a single boot model for each shoe size, depending on the comparison criteria used. It helps simplify inventory management, limit the number of variations to be produced, and reduce the risk of overstocking.

Commitments Governed by a Code of Conduct

Manufactured in Vietnam, the Neo Boot is produced in a Horse Pilot partner factory that adheres to the company’s code of conduct, which defines the social requirements and production conditions expected.

The official name of the supplier code of conduct and any environmental claims must be validated prior to publication.
