Riding boots tailored to your measurements
When a rider wants to buy a pair of riding boots, they have a choice between two types of boots: custom-made riding boots, which are made entirely to their measurements, and so-called half-measure boots, which are available in a wide range of sizes. Depending on the brand, they may be available in more than 15 different combinations of size, calf circumference, and boot height.
The importance of choosing the right boots
It is essential to choose boots that are best suited to the rider's body type. There may be differences between women's riding boots and men's riding boots. This will prevent the formation of unsightly and uncomfortable creases, which can be painful and cause unwanted and premature wear and tear on the boots, especially leather boots. Leather is a living material and will stretch with use. Boots that are too wide will stretch even more over time and may slip down the lower leg. They should fit the size of your calf, whether it is slim or wide. On the other hand, boots that are too tight may painfully compress the calf and put pressure on the zipper, which can also hurt the rider. This can also put strain on the seams, weakening them and increasing the risk of them breaking after a certain amount of time.
