Anne-Louise Bertagne: Between Discipline and Passion
For Anne-Louise Bertagne, dressage became an obvious choice. What started as a technical challenge grew into a deep passion, rooted in the pursuit of harmony between discipline, finesse, and feeling. At 19, she has already competed in four European Championships with Vivaldi, her heart horse, and today embodies a generation of riders who see their discipline as more than a sport: a quest for balance, understanding, and mastery.
"Dressage is such a fine connection with the horse that sometimes it feels like everything happens heart to heart."
THE PASSION FOR DRESSAGE
For Anne-Louise, it’s time to redefine the rules. Dressage is a demanding sport where every detail matters: core strength, symmetry, breathing, balance… everything serves precision. She practices it like a complete athlete: yoga, running, nutrition management, and physical care of the horses. This holistic approach reveals the full beauty of the discipline and highlights its high-level dimension. "If I am not symmetrical, my horse cannot be either. It’s a sport of precision, discipline, and beauty."

HORSE PILOT: TECHNICALITY IN THE SERVICE OF DRESSAGE
This connection with the horse is also reflected in what she wears. Her encounter with Horse Pilot was a trigger: she discovered clothing designed for performance, created to support every movement with fluidity, technical precision, and comfort. She no longer parts with the X-Grip pants, with full grip and perfect fit, which she uses daily in all three variations. The brand’s understated elegance, technical precision, and functional excellence perfectly match her vision of dressage. "I had never ridden in such comfortable clothes. Everything is designed for us, for our sport."
PASSING ON DRESSAGE
If Anne-Louise had a message to share, it would be one of openness. Dressage may seem inaccessible, but with the right guidance, pedagogy, and equine partner, it becomes a space for expression and growth, even with so-called “ordinary” horses. Because in the end, what matters is the story you create with them. "There are real sensations to experience, even with simple horses. You just have to dare and find the right path."
