Maxime began riding ponies at the age of 3. From the age of 8, he competed in show jumping and at 11 he moved to horses to start eventing in the Amateur category with his trainer Didier Mayoux. In 2004 and 2005, Maxime joined the French Junior team and became European team vice-champion and then progressed to Pro Elite level.
Why this rider?
Maxime shares our vision of equestrian sports and sees the rider as a full athlete, whose daily training is crucial in the pursuit of final performance. He has a comprehensive vision of his discipline and is open to all facets of his sport, as a high-level athlete but also in the work and marketing of horses, as well as in training and teaching.
Why Horse Pilot?
Because it's a French brand that brings a lot of technique and modernity to this sport, rooted in tradition.
Favorite piece
Very difficult to choose a favorite, but I particularly appreciate: the Fahrenheit jacket, the raintech raincoat, the competition jackets and the competition shirts.
A ritual?
Before getting on a horse, whatever the event, I always take the time to close my eyes and visualize the course.
An anecdote related to Horse Pilot
I was never a big fan of riders who rode with a horse show competition shirt on cross-country, and Horse Pilot changed my mind with the comfort and lightness that the shirts provide.
A mantra?
"There are no problems, only solutions, and if it's not obvious right away, you have to keep looking for it."
