Completing your riding gear with men’s riding boots is essential for every rider, even beginners. Tall boot models are just as varied as those for women. Cuts are becoming more diverse and technical features more advanced, ensuring that every man can find the perfect fit.
Horse Pilot has launched a revolutionary riding boot: the Teknit Boot. Initially available for women, men have not been forgotten. Discover our women’s riding boots.
We are always attentive to your needs as a rider. That’s why we drew inspiration from technologies used in other sports. We selected the very best to develop high-performance riding boots. The result is the Teknit Boot: the comfort of a sneaker inside a riding boot. This is made possible by its sole, which promotes:
At Horse Pilot, technology serves durable and refined quality. Assert your style with a pair of Horse Pilot men’s tall riding boots. The riding boots we design reflect our brand values: premium yet accessible, allowing riders to enjoy their horse without compromising on style or comfort.
Today, leather riding boots are available in many colors. However, tradition still favors black or brown riding boots. For competitions, make sure to check the rules before opting for a colored model. Competition riding boots vary depending on the discipline: show jumping accepts more variety, while dressage judges still prefer black.
Men can also express their style with technical riding boots.
Like true custom-made riding boots, the stretch knit of the Teknit Boot is knitted to measure. It’s extremely practical: simply slip the boot on like a sock for a perfectly fitted riding boot, without uncomfortable creases.
For dressage or show jumping competitions, there’s no need to own multiple pairs of riding boots. One pair of low-heeled boots combining the best in technological performance is all you need.
A reinforced toe protects the toes from horse hooves. An accordion-shaped ankle design in 3D knit provides better support and protection. Non-slip soles ensure improved stability.
Well-placed grip zones on the inner side of the boot increase contact between the rider and the smooth leather of the saddle, enhancing connection and communication with the horse.
Thanks to 4-way stretch 3D Knit fabric, the Teknit Boot stretches both vertically and horizontally. The shaft is adjustable and the calf area is elastic.
Which size should you choose? A model with laces or a zipper? Classic leather or elastic inserts? Finding the right riding boot can be challenging due to the wide range of sizes and styles available.
Technical requirements increase with the rider’s skill level. While a beginner on a budget may choose rubber riding boots, an experienced rider will opt for black leather riding boots suitable for competition.
Thick soles for trail riding, stiff leather for dressage, softer leather for flexibility in show jumping, reinforced backs for jockeys… Leather riding boots are designed to match your discipline.
For classic leather riding boots, in addition to your shoe size, measure your calf circumference. Generally, add around 0.5 cm to your widest calf measurement. Shaft height is then measured from the ground to your kneecap.
Horse Pilot riding boots are selected solely based on shoe size – no other measurements are required.
Caring for riding boots is essential to extend their lifespan. When your leather riding boots are new, soften them with a leather cream or milk.
After riding in the rain, allow your leather boots to dry gently.
Once dry, use a soft brush to remove mud splashes and dust. If a dry brush isn’t enough, use a damp brush or sponge. If you ride once a week, monthly cleaning is ideal. With more intensive training, clean them approximately every two weeks.
The Teknit Boot is cleaned in the same way and, if necessary, can occasionally be machine washed.
