WOMEN’S RIDING JACKET SIZE GUIDE
The cuts of our riding jackets and coats adapt to the shape of every rider—curvy or slim alike. In general, your women’s riding jacket size corresponds to the size you usually wear. Small variations may occur depending on the garment’s cut, which is why Horse Pilot provides size charts to help you choose the right size based on your measurements.
HOW TO CARE FOR A RIDING JACKET
Often, one wash at the beginning or end of the season is enough—unless, of course, you’ve taken a tumble (without injury) into the mud on a ride. In between, dust and hair can be removed simply by shaking your technical jacket. Small mud stains can be wiped away by hand, with a damp sponge or a soft brush. If needed, a textile deodorizer will freshen up your functional jacket. For a deep clean, all our riding jackets are machine washable. Keep them in great condition for as long as possible with a few simple tips.
BEFORE WASHING
Before putting your jackets and coats in the washing machine: empty the pockets, close zippers, Velcro and snaps, and turn the garments inside out.
MACHINE WASHING
For down jackets filled with feathers, select the down or delicate program. Two or three tennis balls placed in the drum help keep the feathers airy. The synthetic program is suitable for other types of riding jackets.
For all Horse Pilot technical garments, a spin speed of 600 rpm and a maximum temperature of 30°C are sufficient. Use a small amount of mild detergent and avoid fabric softener—replace it with a splash of vinegar if the water is hard.
AFTER WASHING
Hang your riding jacket to air dry on a wide hanger or lay it flat. If it contains feathers, shake it occasionally to redistribute them evenly. Tumble dryers can damage the fabric, fastenings and colors, not to mention the risk of shrinkage.
Once clean and dry, your riding jacket is ready to accompany you on your next equestrian achievements.
